Easter Party Invitations

Easter Brunch

Use lots of pretty pastels such as yellow, pink, blue, lilac and green for a cheerful-looking Easter brunch invitation. Simple graphic designs such as polka dots or stripes work well for the invitation card itself and then you can pick your favorite color for the envelopes. Dye eggs in similar colors and patterns to those used on your Easter brunch invitations. Multi-colored Easter candies such as jelly beans can also add festive color to the dining table.

You may want to get some Easter coloring pages created that are large enough to use for placemats for children attending your Easter brunch. Then you just have to set out some colorful paper or plastic cups of crayons to help keep the little ones occupied before or after the egg hunt or Easter bonnet decorating activities you have planned.

Little craft baskets can hold a plastic Easter egg that you’ve written the name of each guest on -- use a permanent marker. Use pretty pastel colored ribbon to tie a bow on the top of each place name basket. Plastic Easter grass in green can be placed in the bottom of each basket before adding the name egg.

You can also hang plastic eggs from ribbon in doorways as a festive, yet casual touch. Vases of colorful tulips could look perfect on the brunch table. Easter themed confetti such as eggs, chicks or rabbits can be a great addition to your Easter brunch invitation envelopes. Make sure to specify the dress code for your brunch on the invitations.

Easter Dinner

The invitations for an Easter dinner party should be more elegant than those for an Easter brunch. Choose one pastel color plus white for your Easter party décor. Metallic gold or silver on cream or white paper could also work well for Easter dinner party invitations. Add one pastel color to coordinate with the metallic as an accent.

For example, if you choose yellow on your invites, you could feature a row of potted mini daffodils down the center of your dining table with white tapered candles placed between them. Be sure the pots are elegant. You could even spray-paint terra cotta pots silver or gold and glue on matching round large beads for ‘feet” for the planter pots. A white lace table runner could be placed under the pots and over a plain, elegant white tablecloth.

Place setting cards should also be elegant and co-ordinate with your Easter dinner invitations. Placing the card on a folded white cloth napkin on each dinner plate may work, or you could wrap small boxes in white paper and add a large organza bow. Smaller place setting cards could function as gift tags. Inside each box, have an elegant party favour such as a silver plated sugar spoon. Be sure to mention on each Easter dinner invitation for guests to please dress in their Easter Sunday best.
